Cystoscopy

I had a cystoscopy surgery last Monday. They put a stent in my kidney and ran it down to my bladder. They said that the problems may not be caused by the pregnancy. Yipee! It is seriously the worst thing that I have ever had done! The surgery itself was a breeze because I had a spinal and didn't feel a thing, but my body is rejecting the stent so the next two months are going to be a nightmare. On top of it all my kidney is still not draining all the way so I have more added pain and discomfort. I was so emotional about it all, and then I got a phone call from the clinic saying that my sugar glucose test came back abnomal! Thanks for that phone call Jami!!!!!J/K I'm sure it was a fluke thing but now I get to do the 3 hour glucose test. I have really been avoiding that. After that phone call I had another ultra sound and found that I also have a kidney stone. Nothing can be done about any of this until the baby comes, so please keep me in your prayers!

Horse Racing

Local news 8 did a story on Les Bois Park and how they may not be doing live horse racing this year, which buy the way really sucks. However, it was cool because they came out to the barn and talked to my brother Kyle, and got some footage of him and my dad exercising the horses. Check it out at http://www.localnews8.com/Global/story.asp?S=10233640&nav=menu554_1_1.

Easter/Baby Shower

Among the many events of our last weekend were several Easter egg hunts and a baby shower for my brother. Yep that's right for my brother. One of his horses had a new colt so we threw him a shower with gifts and goodies for the new colt. Here are some pictures of the events.

Mutton Bustin

Last weekend my nephew Braxton rode in the mutton bustin at the Dodge National Finals Rodeo. He was so excited!!! I tried to video tape it, but I basically missed the whole thing so I just have 2 pictures. I also included a picture of his little sister. She was so content to eat her potato chips and watch her big brother. Braxton did well. He was the only one who rode one handed. He scored a 77 and got a bag full of freebies. His two favorite things were a belt buckle and a free happy meal at McDonald's.

Dance

Last weekend my niece Taya had a dance recital in Pocatello so Ben and I decided to go watch her be a princess. At her last dance recital she was the only one who danced and all the other girls stood there and cried. Well this time it was the other way around. She is the one in the middle crying. It was soooo cute!

Results

The good news is that my gallbladder is fine. The bad news is that the baby is preventing my right kidney from draining. So I have to live with the pain and risk damaging my kidney or have a stint put in my kidney. I meet with the urologist on Monday. If any of you have any knowledge or experience with this type of thing please share!

PAIN!!!

So I have been having this horrific pain in my back and rib cage area. At first I figured it was just the baby, but the pain has been unbearable. So after a long and painful week, I finally went to the doctor and the diagnosis is my gallbladder. AWESOME....not really. They don't like to remove it while your pregnant so I get to go 11 weeks with the pain. They did give me some meds but they didn't take the pain away, instead they made me loopy. I was great entertainment at work. I have a ton of things to blog about but I have to download all my weekend pictures first so I will do that when I am feeling a little better!

Bunny Eggs

Anybody who really knows me can tell you that I do not have a crafty or artistic bone in my body. Seriously, I can't even draw stick people. So I had to post some pictures of the bunny eggs that I made for my students for Easter. I know they are very novice and I am a long ways away from the abilities of the rest of the world, but even my husband was impressed! I included a back view so you could see the tails.
