Garden

For years now I have wanted to plant a garden and every year my husband tells me next year you can plant one. Well we finally planted one this year. It is the first time for me and I am just thrilled that the stuff is starting to come up. The down side is the weeding. I always knew that I would have to do it, but man, I can't believe how fast those weeds grow! I actually enjoy weeding, but I can only do it for short periods of time, and those weeds move faster than me! Here are a few pictures of the garden. We are growing peas, carrots, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, & cantaloupe.

Taya's Birthday!

Taya turned 4 this last Friday so we had a little get together. She got so many cool things for her birthday this year. Among them were 2 real live kittens, a battery operated walking dog, a flying tinker bell, clothes, a bike helmet, MP3 player, money, and several more toys. She got spoiled, and I think she had a wonderful day!

WHAT HAPPENED!!!!!

So after 4 years of marriage Ben and I decided to invest in some "real" patio furniture. I am kind of a tight wad and so I have always talked myself out of buying some. We bought a simple small little set and were thrilled with it...for about a month. We went to bed one night and all was in order. The next morning I woke up, opened the blinds, and this is what I found!

We have no idea what shattered the glass into millions of little pieces, but I am not happy about it!

Baby Shower

A few weeks ago my mom and sisters threw me a baby shower. They worked so hard for weeks and then the day of to make things so nice. It was all set up in the back yard of my house and it looked awesome! Well about 20 minutes before it started we got a terrible wind storm and had to bring everything inside. Nobody got to see the outside and I didn't take any pictures because I figured we would get some pictures during the shower. So sorry to everybody for having to cram into my tiny little living room! Thank you all though for the wonderful things and especially for coming! Also, thanks to my fam for spending all the time and money. We appreciate it. FYI: There were 6 prego's at my shower! I think that is a lot!
P.S. Jami, I threw in a pic of you so everybody would see how beautiful you are when your legs aren't showing! j/k

Honor Guard

Ben was chosen to be a part of the Honor Guard for Law Enforcement Memorial Day. He did a wonderful job! I am so proud of him and all his accomplishments. I have included a few pictures and I tried posting the video of it, but after 12 hours of "uploading" I am giving up. Sorry! Also, a few people have asked to see prego pictures so I included a picture of me with Ben at 8 months pregnant. Don't laugh too hard!

Birthday/Mother's Day

This last weekend we made the trip to Inkom to celebrate Braxton's Birthday and Mother's Day. I really can't travel very well, so we had to make a bed in the back and I had to lay down the whole time only getting up to make my many pit stops. Stents suck! Once we got there we had a good time. Braxton got spoiled and so did all the moms. We had a wonderful meal. My brother-in-law is king of the grill and so we always get plenty to eat. Ben was trying to show the kids how to shoot guns and hop on pogo sticks. However, I think the kids needed to show him how to hop on the pogo stick. Kyle was showing the boys how to play baseball. Look out MLB here they come! Braxton also got a Nintendo DS with the Mario Brother's game...I must have one now!

Mom hates pictures so I don't have any of her on here but I want her to know that she is the greatest mom in the world!

Cystoscopy

I had a cystoscopy surgery last Monday. They put a stent in my kidney and ran it down to my bladder. They said that the problems may not be caused by the pregnancy. Yipee! It is seriously the worst thing that I have ever had done! The surgery itself was a breeze because I had a spinal and didn't feel a thing, but my body is rejecting the stent so the next two months are going to be a nightmare. On top of it all my kidney is still not draining all the way so I have more added pain and discomfort. I was so emotional about it all, and then I got a phone call from the clinic saying that my sugar glucose test came back abnomal! Thanks for that phone call Jami!!!!!J/K I'm sure it was a fluke thing but now I get to do the 3 hour glucose test. I have really been avoiding that. After that phone call I had another ultra sound and found that I also have a kidney stone. Nothing can be done about any of this until the baby comes, so please keep me in your prayers!
